A Note on Legal Clarity

Under Colorado law, adults 21+ may engage in the personal use of natural medicines, which include our sacrament of psilocybin. In Colorado, we are allowed to share these natural medicines for free and charge for bona fide harm reduction services, which include spiritual guidance and supported use of our sacrament.

Under federal law, TCOP works with a good faith believe and legal basis that its activities are protected by the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Thirty three states have adopted similar protections to the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

We provide bona fide harm reduction services as part of your membership fees, including spiritual guidance, supported use and related services.

We don’t sell our sacrament. You are only paying for bona fide harm reduction services related to the spiritual use of our sacrament.

Along with your becoming a member of TCOP, we provide a reasonable amount of our sacrament to allow you to engage in the ceremonial use of our sacrament consistent with TCOP’s doctrine and protocol.

Important Legal Notice. You understand TCOP provides its Sacraments to you as part of the sincere religious or spiritual use of psilocybin, with a good faith belief that the use and distribution of these substances is protected by the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act and similar protections in each state’s Constitution or statutes. Central to the beliefs of TCOP is the acknowledgment that our Sacraments are sacred gifts and guides bestowed upon humanity. Only through the sincere religious use of our Sacraments can participants understand the moral, ethical, spiritual wisdom, and psycho-spiritual healing of the Creator’s divine nature, along with our own divine nature. By acquiring any Sacrament, you affirm that you agree that these Sacraments are acquired and used for spiritual purposes consistent with TCOP’s beliefs. TCOP notes that each state’s laws are unique and you are required to review your own state law to determine if any legal protections apply to you and TCOP does not guarantee that there are no negative legal consequences that could occur as the result of your possession and use of psilocybin mushrooms. You agree to take responsibility for your own choices, informing yourself about the legal risks, medical and mental health risks and consequences of your choices.
